Only 4 more days until the closing!!! So far everything has gone right on schedule. The inspection went good, only found a couple of minor electrical issues which I agreed to pay for and was not expensive at all. The house appraisal came in on target. Right now I am taking out some last minute stuff from the house, still had things in the garage, shed, some closets and the eaves upstairs. I didn't think it was that much until we started going through everything!!!
Of course we procrastinated on this, it should have been finished weeks ago.
My house warming was this past Saturday at the new house and the house look good, but now its going to be cluttered and filled with stuff all over again, running out of places to store everything. This house only has a small workshop-type garage, the basement is the family room, we put up a shed but thats filled up already. We do have space in the partial attic and under the dining room is a crawl space type of basement which is great for christmas decorations and stuff you only use once a year or so. I am afraid that once I put stuff in those places I will forget about them. Its very difficult for me to let go of "things" example: I have over 30 flower vases, loads of wicker baskets, clothes galore, and various decorative items. I need to downsize, I have already gave away lots, but need to give away lots more!!! I know I can't expect to put 2 homes of stuff into a 1450 s.f. house.!!! I am starting to feel overwhelmed again, If anyone has any ideas, feel free to share them...
